  • Another great historical romance in the series by Christina McKnight. Well written story following a young woman’s journey to find where she belongs in society. The characters are detailed and have great interactions. There is mystery and sorrow along the way as well as a new found love. I found this book hard to put down as you are enthralled from beginning to end. Well worth reading.

  • I’m leaving a review because I couldn’t put the book down. Ruby St. Augustin and Herold were friends in Childhood. When Ruby goes to London looking for her biological Father she meets Herold again. Ruby has found her Mother’s diary and now knows that she is the product of an affair her Mother had. She is hoping to find the man who is her Father. She does this by breaking into homes of the upper class. Herold figures out what she is doing and saves her form being caught. She won’t tell him what she is doing or why but Herold knows he loves her and can’t let her put herself in harms way.
This is a wonderful Love story with lots of twist and turns.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a really good read by a really good author!”

  • “Many books are published each year, but few are written with such elegant prose. McKnight’s characters are compelling, the plot full of surprises. Well Done.”
